Associate Project Control Specialist
SSAI, a scientific R&D company located in Hampton, VA, is seeking a dynamic Associate Project Control Analyst to assist with budgeting and resource allocation; financial planning and forecasting; and cost monitoring and control support. The candidate will run financial reports and provide data to perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates and significant changes. The candidate will also assist in the maintenance and operation of financial and resources management and reporting systems; will run Project Status reports and maintain the work force in the accounting system; and reconcile and upload data and reports to the task management systems. The candidate will communicate effectively to both decipher and fulfill the requests of the Program Management staff, prepare ad hoc reports, and work on cost proposals as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Experience with pricing, budgeting and resource allocation, financial planning and forecasting, cost monitoring and control, accounting, and contracts.
Experience working in a Government contract environment preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, experience with data analysis, attention to detail, and good communication skills are highly desired. Knowledge of the FAR and understanding of multiple contract types is helpful. Experience with Deltek Cost Point, Project Management Software (such as MPM), and iSite, is preferred.
